GP Training

The surgery will often have doctors who are training for General Practice working in the surgery. These doctors change every 6 to 12 months.

Sister Williams will see patients in the asthma and chronic lung disease clinic.

Sister Herridge will see patients in the coronary heart disease and diabetes clinic.

The Practice Nurses are registered general nurses and specialist practitioners in General Practice Nursing. They can help with general health, dietary, stop smoking and lifestyle advice, blood pressure checks, cervical smears, ear syringing, asthma, menopause, wound care and vaccinations for home and abroad. The practice nursing staff run the INR clinic under the direction of Dr Chaudhry and Dr Gordon.

Healthcare assistants help with phlebotomy and see patients for ECGs, blood pressure checks and dressing checks. They will also assist in minor surgical procedures. Mrs Sue Taylor will also see patients with eczema once they have been seen by a GP.

Practice Manager

The Practice Manager has the overall responsibility for all administrative and financial aspects within the practice. These duties range from ensuring the smooth daily operation of the surgery to a high standard of performance by the staff. She is the focal point for any management matters concerning the practice.

Assistant Practice Managers

Alison Soos is responsible for booking all minor surgery appointments her direct number is 029 20854489 she is available Tuesday -Friday 10.00am – 4.00pm.

Dawn Foley is responsible for booking all chronic disease clinics. Her direct number is 029 20854493 she is available Mon/Tues/Thurs/Friday between 10.00am – 4.00pm.

The receptionists are there to help you so please give them any information they request. Anything you tell them will be treated in absolute confidence and will help us deal with your problem more quickly.

The district nurses are registered general nurses with specialist training in community nursing to enable them to give expert care at home, in clinics or in the surgery. Your team of district nurses are available on request from surgery to assess your nursing needs. They can be contacted on 02920 881523.

Health visitors are registered general nurses who have also done a special health visiting course. They are concerned with infants and mothers health and wellbeing. They can be contacted on 02920 884263.
